I’ve been doing some work on the choice menus in my as-of-yet-unannounced visual novel project. In the video above, I’m testing out a menu blur effect that uses Ren’Py’s new model-based renderer. Below are some fancier buttons I implemented later.
Oh wow, it’s been awhile since I last updated! To fill the void, here’s another splash screen I did for my client Brian’s fantasy VN.
Completed another splash screen for my client Brian’s fantasy VN! In this one, the player character greets his sister who was not expecting to see him.
Here’s a new splash screen illustration for my client Brian’s fantasy visual novel! It depicts a slightly awkward moment in which the main character is overjoyed to see his sister healed after being the accidental target of necromantic magic. She’s still a bit dazed as he rushes in for a hug.
Earlier this week, I finished up this splash screen illustration for my client Brian’s fantasy visual novel. This one was really enjoyable, because I got to focus in on this interaction between the king character and his newly-adopted son. Adoption is commonplace in the game’s setting, which I find really interesting!
This past week I completed another background for my client Brian’s fantasy visual novel. I’m pretty pleased with this one! My learning the basics of Blender is really starting to pay off.
It’s been awhile since I last posted some work I did for clients, so here’s a background illustration I completed recently for Brian Fenn’s fantasy visual novel that’s in development.
I’m pretty excited to show off these icon designs for a new game project I’m cooking up! These will be going into a pitch document and possibly the game itself. Stay tuned for more info!
Haven’t posted in a bit, because I’ve been really busy. Things are finally slowing down some, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to share this! Here are couple of sprites I made for a King Lear-esque character in my client Brian’s fantasy VN!
I had a lot of fun doing these sprites of a longsword-wielding character for my client Brian’s visual novel. Left is his original “neutral” pose sprite I did a couple years ago now, and right is his combat pose variation I completed earlier this month.
